Terms & Conditions

*Payment Options
Payments can be made by bank transfer, cash or cheque (made payable to Natalie Porter).

 

*  Deposit Required

Your order becomes confirmed only when the 50% booking deposit is received; in the case of a cake booked less than one month in advance 100% of the payment will due to confirm the booking. The deposit is paid to reserve your date and is generally non-refundable in the event of a cancellation. However, if you need to change dates or move your event, please call us and we will be happy to accommodate this, subject to availability.

 

*Final Payment

The balance of the full purchase price is due four weeks before the event date. If your cake is ordered less than four weeks before the event date, the total amount is due immediately. The cake will not be made if final payment has not been received.

 

*Return of hired Items

Please return any stands, plates, brooches or other decor to Immaculate Confections no later than one week after your event. A cheque or cash deposit is required for any rented items, non-refundable in case of lost or damaged items.

 

*Cake Changes

Changes to your cake order: size, description, flavours, etc. may be accommodated up until two weeks prior to the event date, at the discretion of Immaculate Confections. Changes may incur a charge dependent upon the nature and scale of the alteration. This will be discussed with you first. Any applicable fees will be at the discretion of Immaculate Confections.

 

*Delivery and Set-up 

Delivery and setup is required for all wedding cakes and for some multiple tiered special occasion cakes. Delivery is free within the local area and to certain venues, otherwise mileage will be charged to cover costs. As part of our service we offer personal delivery and set-up, however, as we can only carry out a limited number of personal deliveries, advance booking is highly recommended during the wedding season. We will liaise with your venue to schedule a delivery slot and to check that all arrangements for assembly have been made, such as the cake stand and cake table. The possibility also exists that we may be unable to deliver your cake due to adverse or freak weather conditions such as snow or floods and that these conditions may make your venue inaccessible. We strongly recommend that you purchase wedding insurance to cover yourselves for this eventuality.

 

*Cancellation Policy

In the event of cancellation the 50% deposit will generally not be refunded. However, cakes cancelled prior to work commencing may be refunded (up to 50% of the amount paid) at the discretion of Immaculate Confections. Cakes cancelled within two weeks of the due date will not be refunded. In the event that something occurs to affect your scheduled event date – please contact Immaculate Confections to discuss options.

 

*Photographs

Immaculate Confections will take photographs of the cakes and/or may order copies of pictures from your photographer. Immaculate Confections reserves the right to use any photographs for our own reference and/or for display and/or promotion, without notification or compensation to you.

 

*Miscellaneous Disclaimers

Please note that colours of actual cake may vary slightly due to colour differences in computer screens. If an exact match is desired, please provide us with a physical colour sample.

 

In the event that you are requesting a copy of a specific design from another decorator, please understand that there may be some differences due to size, tools and techniques used on the original cake.  We strive to make a cake that is unique for you and reserve the right to make changes as we see appropriate.

 

In the case of an emergency or an error in your cake delivery, please contact us immediately so we can fix the issue right away! If you are unhappy with your cake for any reason, please call us the day of your event and explain the situation. In the extremely rare case that you are unhappy with your cake and would like a refund, you must call the day of your event so your cake can be returned. Without proof that you are indeed unhappy with the product and will not be using it for your event, Immaculate Confections will be unable to consider a refund of any portion of your payment.
